EMerge blog

Why I ditched AI/LLMs almost completely for development
If it isn't for you I guess this blog post is more for me to dump my thoughts. Because EMerge is about 1 years old, LLMs have been there from the beginning of development. These more advanced agentic ones mostly in the latter half. I started mostly with ChatGPT and then around December last year moved to Gemini and Claude as ChatGPT kept gasslighting me into non-sense saying that stuff didn't work that absolutely worked. Last week I cancelled my Claude subscription. I'm not

EMere 2.6 | Heat Conduction!
The time has finally come! Multiphysics is coming to EMerge. Soon, EMerge version 2.6 will be released which includes the first version of the heat conduction solver. It also allows for one-way RF-to-heat conduction coupling. Heat conduction involves only the conduction of heat through materials. It does not include the simulation of fluid flow which is a dominant form of heat transport in for example convection cooling such as with computer fans. None-the-less approximate co

Design Example - Waveguide Low pass filter
In this blog series I am going to make some design examples. In this example we will look at the paper titled: "A Compact Design of High-Power Spurious-Free Low-Pass Waveguide Filter" Which can be downloaded from ResearchGate: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/224176341_A_Compact_Design_of_High-Power_Spurious-Free_Low-Pass_Waveguide_Filter The Simulation file is actually fairly compact! We need only something like 70 lines of code effectively to generate this mode! Due
